The Music of Blue Mountain

Artist Spotlight: Get to Know Austin McCarthy
From a young age, Austin McCarthy has been interested in music. Born and raised in Collingwood, Ontario, Austin began playing piano as a child. At 13 he picked up guitar playing and shortly after began teaching as well. He has an expansive amount of knowledge in reading, writing and performing music.
Throughout the years Austin has become a fabulous performer, playing at clubs, private parties and festivals. After honing his live performing skills Austin went on to compete, and win, the 2014 Collingwood Idol.

Local Area Venues and Events
Formerly known as the Opera House, Meaford Hall Arts & Cultural Centre is located in a beautifully renovated century old landmark. The venue hosts live music, theatre, dance, and films year round and is equipped with state-of-the-art staging, a large theatre balcony, reception halls, box office and more.

The Gayety Theatre
The famous Gayety Theatre has been entertaining guests since 1911 and shows no signs of slowing down. The 385-seat theatre located in the Heritage District showcases musical performances such as The Elvis Christmas Show, local singing competitions and bands of all genres.

The Huron Club

Since 1995 the Collingwood Elvis Festival has been celebrating the music and life of Elvis Presley. Now 20 years later, the event is the world's largest Elvis festival! Tribute artists from all over come together to dress, sing, dance and act like The King. The event takes place in annually in July and attracts tens of thousands to Ontario.
