Golf in Blue Mountain

Golfing in the Blue Mountain and Collingwood region has become one of the most desired destinations with views of the Niagara Escarpment and stunning shoreline views of Georgian Bay. The Blue Mountain region features some of the best golf courses in all of Ontario. Below we have listed out just a few of our favourites which we believe are ideal for both golf amateurs and experts.

Cranberry Golf Course

The Cranberry Golf Course is one of the few recipients of the Environmental Stewardship Award as well as one of the only Ontario courses on the Audubon Society certified course list. The course spans over 6,000 yards and features views of Blue Mountain as well as the Georgian Bay.

Course Length: 9 and 18 hole course

Advanced Tee Time Required: Yes

Dress Code: The dress code for men requires slacks, dress pants or, shorts and collared shirts. Women may wear shirts with a collar or collarless shirts with sleeves.

Special Requirements: Proper golf shoes are required. Shoes such as sports cleats, golf shoes with metal spikes and high heels are not permitted on the course.

Batteaux Creek Golf Club

Batteaux Creek Golf Club, located just  6 kms south of Collingwood (3 kilometres south of Nottawa) on the east side of Highway #124. You will find Batteaux Creek Golf Club at the junction with the 30/31 Sideroad in Nottawasaga Township.  The course was designed with both amateur and expert golfers in mind. Featuring wide open fairways, varied obstacles and long holes, it takes around 4 hours to complete all 18 holes. You will find 5 different sets of tees on every hole to allow for amateurs and experts to play from comfortable yet still challenging distance.

Dress Code: The dress code for men suggests wearing a golf shirt with a collar or turtleneck, and golf pants with socks be worn on the course and clubhouse. Women must wear golf shirts or tank tops, and skirts or shorts (must be around 2 inches above the knee) or, golf pants. 

Special Requirements: It is mandatory for all golfers to wear golf shoes with soft spikes.

Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club

The Blue Mountain Golf & Country Club is an 18 hole semi-private facility located on Collingwood's 10th Line between Sixth Street and Mountain Road. Developed in 1964, it is the longest established course in the area. The natural beauty of the Niagara Escarpment acts as a picturesque backdrop to the course's well maintained tees, fairways, greens and gardens. It has been host to both the Ontario Junior Ladies Championship and the Senior Ladies Championship. Golfers looking for a beautifully designed 9 or 18 hole course will enjoy hours of entertainment at an affordable price at Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club.

Dress Code: Men are required to wear appropriate golfing attire. Shorts and pants must have a zipper and pockets, and all hats must be worn with the brim facing straight forward. Women also must wear appropriate golf attire; both pants and shirts must be mid-thigh in length.  

Special Requirements: Shoes must be golf shoes with soft spikes or cleat-less athletic shoes.

Cobble Beach

Designed by world renowned golf course architect Doug Carrick and winner of countless awards from Golf digest, Travel + Leisure, Ontario Golf, ScoreGolf and more, the golf course at the Cobble Beach resort is a must play course for absolutely everyone. The course is designed to pay homage to the sport as it has been played for generations with its links-style design, lush fairways and expertly maintained greens.

Duntroon Highlands Golf Club

For those whom have been searching for a challenging yet enjoyable course in Blue Mountains near Collingwood, we highly recommend Duntroon Highlands Golf Club. With water obstacles in play on 12 of the 18 holes and large maple trees lining the majority of the course even the most exceptional golfers will need to be fully focused to keep their final score below par.
